What: This winter we will take a team of Kiski Area students to New York City to serve the homeless and the hurting with the love of Christ.
When: February 19-21, 2016. Departure from parking lot on Columbia Avenue in Vandergrift at 5:45am. We will arrive at that same location at approximately 9pm on Sunday.
Cost: $210. $100 non-refundable deposit due before December 31. $110 due before January 31. This cost includes all but three meals (two on the road, one in NY City). Partial scholarships are available. Checks can be made to KAYN, with “NY Mission” in the memo and mailed to PO Box 326 Vandergrift PA 15690.

Forms: The following three forms must be completed to participate.
Will we be safe? In 15+ years of ministry in NY, I’ve never led a team that has ever been in danger. The staff we work with consider the safety of these teams their highest priority. Students will never be alone, and will always have an adult present nearby. In their 35+ years in NY, they report 0 incidents. We will be staying in a securely locked building in a safe part of Queens, NY.
Will we get to sightsee? We will spend a few hours on Friday and Saturday visiting Ground Zero, Rockafeller Plaza and Times Square.
What about weather? We will adjust our departure/arrival to accommodate inclement weather – if the weather should force us to cancel, we will attempt to postpone to the soonest available weekend.
What do I need to bring? Depending on the projects that we are given for the trip, specific items may change. All items should fit within a small duffel/sports bag. Further specifics will be given at the January meeting.
